The Shanghai Expo is gearing up to begin a brand new offering for the year 2010. All types of global countries build attractions at this event. Chinese corporations offer pavilions as well. This year the countries of Vietnam, Iceland and China are sure to have very popular pavilions. The corporate offering that is sure to please the most people is the space pavilion. Still, some wonder about the Shanghai Expo 2010 will it benefit Xian tourism this year? The sales figures and other things will be examined. Another notable thing to mention would be a Xian tourist company purchasing a large hotel. This is sure to help answer the question of the hour.

Some very special things are being celebrated at the Vietnam Pavilion this year. Sixty years of positive diplomacy between the country and China are being celebrated this year. A key guest at the event is prime minister Nguyen T D. Celebrating one thousand years of something history calls Thang Long is the theme for this year.

Iceland has a pavilion for the event despite the fact that the country is suffering from a very negative economy. Spending will be cut down to half for them this year. A 5000 square meter pavilion was given to the country by China. Iceland will dress this pavilion to look like a giant ice cube. Business centers will be set up by the country in an attempt to improve their situation.

The most popular pavilion at the even every year is always the domestic one. China has worked very hard on a design for their pavilion this year. They have constructed a large concrete and steel frame building that is designed after the concept of an Oriental crown. The pavilion is painted forbidden city red. This color represents spirit and taste through Chinese culture.

Of the most unique designs for the expo this year will be the space pavilion. It was designed to give the impression of a cube that is suspended in mid air. It offers the center piece that plays as a showcase in honor of the spirits of the Chinese astronauts who currently explore space. A look at the effect of aerospace technology on everyday life will also be featured.

A large impact on Chinese tourism is being caused by the hype of the expo this year. Record breaking sales have already been reported. The number has passed the eight billion yen mark and still continues to grow. A lot of sales come from merchandise featuring a character named Haibao. He is not only the mascot of the expo but an embodiment of the rich Chinese culture.

Tourism for Xian will grown this year during the expo. Because of this a well known Xian tourism company has acquired the popular Guangua hotel. They received this for no initial investment other than accepting the previous debts and staff of the hotel. The Xian railway station is at a very close distance to the Guangua hotel.

Shanghai Expo 2010 will it benefit Xian tourism some wonder. The answer is yes. The fact that a popular Xian tourism agency has purchased a large hotel so close to the train station should be a key factor when realizing this.
